Is California Gold Nutrition third-party tested?
Last reviewed July 2026.
Sort of — but read the fine print. California Gold Nutrition is iHerb's own house brand, and its omega-3 products are tested under iHerb's in-house "iTested" program rather than by an independent certifier like IFOS or NSF. The data is published (which is more than some brands do), but a store grading its own product is not the same as independent third-party testing.
What the iTested reports show
- Omega 800 Ultra-Concentrated, kd-pür TG, 1000 mg, 90 Softgels: measured 985 mg EPA+DHA per serving; 123% of the 800 mg label claim; TG form — iTested report ↗
- Omega-3 Premium Fish Oil, 240 Fish Gelatin Softgels: measured 683 mg EPA+DHA per serving; 114% of the 600 mg label claim; TG form — iTested report ↗
If you want products verified by an independent lab, our main ranking only includes IFOS/NSF-certified fish oils. We list the iTested house-brand products separately, and honestly, on the homepage — cheaper per gram, but self-graded.
This page summarizes published third-party testing data and makes no health, benefit, or treatment claims. A certificate describes one tested batch, not a permanent grade.
