Six electrolyte drink mixes: sodium, sugar and NSF status
Last reviewed 2026-09-24. Every label figure and certification record below was read from its source on that date, and each links it. No price is shown.
These 6 electrolyte mixes carry 100 to 1,000 mg of sodium and 0 to 11 g of sugar per serving. 3 of them are listed by NSF Certified for Sport in the size sold on Amazon. Each row is one exact listing: brand, flavor and pack size.
How to read this, and what “best” means here
- There is no single best mix. They differ in what they are for: some are zero-sugar, some carry sugar by design, and sodium per serving varies tenfold. More sodium is not better or worse in itself, and this page does not say how much anyone needs.
- A serving is the label's serving. A 4 g packet and a 16 g stick are each one serving here; the labels recommend different amounts of water, so the table does not convert them to one drink.
- The order is NSF status, then brand: mixes listed in the size sold come first. It is not a quality or effectiveness ranking, and no price is shown.

No price is shown: prices change, and the price at any store, Amazon included, is the one to check. The calculator below works out a cost per serving from a price you enter. Label figures: LMNT, LMNT's product page (sodium 1,000 mg, no sugar, per stick pack); Liquid I.V., the Nutrition Facts panel on Liquid I.V.'s Lemon Lime product page; DripDrop, the Nutrition Facts panel on DripDrop's 32-pack Lemon Lime page; Thorne, the Supplement Facts panel on NSF's listing (sugar 0 g per NSF's record); Transparent Labs, the Supplement Facts panel on NSF's listing (1 g carbohydrate, no sugars listed; the Amazon title says Sugar Free); Momentous, the Supplement Facts panel on NSF's listing.
Cost per serving, for any mix
cost per serving = price ÷ servings. For a tub whose label gives only a net weight and a scoop, servings = net weight ÷ scoop weight.
Without JavaScript the calculator does not update; the table above is complete. A blank or zero field gives no answer rather than a misleading figure.

It makes no health, benefit or treatment claim, gives no hydration or dosing advice, and says nothing about whether any product is safe or right for you. A certification record describes tested lots, not a permanent grade.
